Thai Die, the next book of Betsy's adventures, is due December 2.
I've just had a Michaelmas feast. (Michaelmas is Sept. 29.) The medieval
English said: "Who eats goose on the feast of Saint Michael and All Angels
will not lack for money during the coming year." We’ve had good luck with
this so far; and it IS undeniably true that we get at least one goose dinner a
year from
humoring the medieval English.
But it is the feast day of the Archangel Michael, after all; so I got a sculpture of him for a centerpiece to the table. And we had friends in.
